About

Our group studies the genomics of phenotypic diversity and the role of evolutionary forces in generating it. We investigate questions about the emergence of new groups, evolutionary innovations, and convergent evolution. We explore the molecular evolution of coding and non-coding regions in species genomes and investigate the dynamics of gene gain and loss in adaptation. We work with various groups, mainly mammals (especially cetaceans), within a phylogenetic context.
